&possibly one of the most awkward.

scenario:

boy

girl

no one in the room--parents are gone, friends up-stairs

alone

one thing leads to another..............................

friends appear 

everyone knows what just happened and the tension builds

well we all know sally and tom just got down... soooo.....

here's the thing--it happens we all do it at some point why is it embarrassing?

My dear dear friends, this is how rumors start. These poor people's brains are speeding a million miles a minute thinking about what possibly happened in that 10 minutes sally and tom were left alone. &by the time Monday rolls around your 3 friends and his 6 friends can't handle it anymore--they burst. This is when the rumors happen.

Sense nothing was really addressed no one knows what to think, and like humans, teenage humans, we tend to think the worse...

So poor Sally has the rep now of easy slut (thanks bestfriends) and Tom is a player.

Wait!!!

Your friends missed something.... Sally has never kissed anyone... and Tom has liked Sally sense Elementary school...... hmmmm... I guess it wasn't what we built it up to be.... some huge scandal that was really quite innocent and cute.

Bottom line:

openness is not scary and not wrong. It can be beneficial and nothing has TO BE AWKWARD.

problem solved?

not that easy.... but hopefully it's more clear now.
